The Woodpecker is a small to medium sized birds. There are different types of woodpecker in our country. They have many different like size, color etc. But the birds look very beautiful.

A woodpecker has different mixed colors. It has large heads with long & strong bill, long legs with sharp nail and short tail. It grows to approximately 35 centimeters with his short tail.

Woodpecker lives in a tree hole and it makes this hole with his strong bill. All the time it tries to make his nest in old and long trees. When it finds this type of tree, he tries to hit this tree with his strong bill and create a big noise. Within a short time it makes this hole and make its nest.

Naturally, it lay 2-5 eggs at a time. It incubated it’s eggs at night time for 11–14 days before the chicks are born. It takes about 18–30 days before the chicks are ready to staying the nest.
