The Magpie-Robin is a small bird. It looks very beautiful. The oriental magpie-robin is the national bird of our country.
Magpie-Robin is a common bird in our country and known as the Doyel or Doel. We can easily find it in our gardens as well as small forests. Its songs are very popular in our village area.
The main colors of this bird are black, white and gray. The male and female birds look similar but they have little bit difference between them. The males have black heads, backs, wings and tail with white under parts, but the females under parts are grayed-white.
Magpie-Robin has a long tail and he always tries to dance his tail. This bird grows to approximately 19 centimeters (7.5 in) with his long tail.Their eyes are sharp black and white colors.
Magpie-Robin is a very busy bird and it try to flow here and there all-time. This bird’s symbol used on our currency notes and the Dhaka city has a landmark named as the Doyel Chatwar.
