Baul Shamrat Ostaad Shah Abdul Karim is not mere a name but a complete institution!!! He was a renowned folk musician as well as a great singer in Bangladesh. The village Ujan Dhol was blessed to have this Sufi poet on February 15, 1916, under Sunamgonj district.

Nowadays personally I'm getting the fan of folk and Baul Gharana songs. It makes me think of our traditional roots of strong Bengali history.

Ostaad Abdul Karim grew up in poverty facing hardships. Being under poverty he continued expressing his thoughts and emotions musically since a very early age. He wrote more than 1500 Baul songs which will remain ever live in the heart of the people over thousand years. In his early age, he received spiritual training on baul song from Ostaad Shah Ibrahim Mastan Baksh.

Ostaad Shah Abdul Karim was a man of the soil. His lifestyle was very ordinary which he loved to live on. Still we have the opportunity to show him respect by spreading his ideas and thoughts and moreover by compiling all his scripts and spreading among our new generation. The Tragic Love Story of a Vice-Chancellor(DU)!

Moniruzzaman Min: while he was a student of Rajshahi University, he fell in love with Hindu girl who was his fellow classmate. Once, the decided that they would get married fleeing away from home. Their plan was like that they would reach the varsity rail station in a certain day at a particular time but separately. Then, they'll flee via traveling train. According to the planning, the girl arrived at the rail station quite earlier! but, he was little late to reach the station due to the path, he came. In the meantime, the train arrived at the station. The lover girl thought that Monirizzaman cheated with her.

Then, it happened that tragedy story! Misunderstanding the lover boy, the girl killed herself under the running train. Moniruzzaman saw a huge public gathering while he reached the station running. He saw that everything was already gone. He saw the dead body of his lover girl. This incident had a long term effect on him. He didn't get married in his lifetime. His lover girl loved cats too much. That's why he started bringing up pet cats to recall the memories of his the then girlfriend. When he became the VC of Dhaka University, then in his residence there were lots of cats too. Those cats were his symbol of love, the memory of his dead girlfriend.
The Ex-VC of The University of Dhaka died at 11:45 am yesterday in Square Hospital.

When people are in a generous mood to spend money prior to Eid-ul-Fitr, as if they are possessed, there are others who look for chances to waylay shoppers.

Reportedly, as many as 20 such criminal gangs known as Ogyan (unconscious) and Molom (ointment) parties, with a combined force of about 200 members, are operating in the capital city and on its outskirts alone. How many of these gangs are active in other cities and on bus routes or railways is yet to be known.

A combination of muggers and robbers, these gangs have taken their criminal art to extreme ruthlessness. Robbers usually spare their victims' life if they face no resistance but these two types of criminals rely on the application of sedatives or poisonous substances first in order to incapacitate their victims and then snatch money and other valuables. They use both cunningness and guiles to trap the persons they target.

This year the gangs have not been able to conduct many a successful operation as yet. Credit goes to the law-enforcement agencies which busted a major hideout of these gangs last year. Now they seem to be extra cautious in carrying on their operations.

Nevertheless, according to the report, they are very much active and perhaps waiting for the mad rush to peak up when they have greater chances of success. Members of the Ogyan party usually target their prey on long-route public buses. People will soon move out of the capital for their village homes and that is the most propitious time for them. However, both Molom and Ogyan parties prowl on their prey whenever people carry money within the city or beyond its limit. They pretend to be co-passengers and build friendly rapport soon to offer light snacks or fruits.

Thus, the unsuspecting passengers fall victim to this party. The Molom party operates aggressively at times causing death to their victims.

So there is a need for greater vigilance by the law-enforcement agencies and at the same time making people aware of the danger of eating anything from unknown people, however, genial they may be. There must be an arrangement at the bus terminals to warn passengers of this danger over loudspeakers and then when on board a bus, the message must be conveyed by bus operators as well. If passengers are alert, gang members stand little chance of duping them.

Yet the need for surveillance at the bus terminals and railway stations can play a vital role. If there are closed-circuit cameras at such points, the criminal gangs can easily be detected from their suspicious movement. If their dens can be busted, the threat from them will disappear - at least for the time being. The news that a few such gang members have pushed passengers down from running trains does not speak of provision for the minimum security on railways. The railway authority should beef up security on trains to root out such crimes.

so lastly I would like to alert you all who are going to spend your Eid vacation with your family in a village, please be very careful in bus or train or launch. And who are businessmen, deal with money regularly will also have to be more cautious about dealing money, we should not believe any stranger so easily, we should avoid gossiping with others while traveling, we should not eat anything provide by strangers and we should avoid deep sleeping? 1/ We, the unconscious people do not use foot over bridge. We do not try to understand that time is not important than life. And of course, We should abide by traffic rules.

2/ Overuse of technology is another reason for the road accident. Mp3, Mp4 player, Smartphone, Tab are available for any professions. So we have seen people are using airphone or talking over the telephone at the time of crossing the road!

3/ Our drivers are not conscious about traffic rules. The maximum they hardly follow traffic signals! It is an important reason for the road accident.

4/ Without training, some people are entering into driving profession. They cannot drive consciously!

When I was a SSC candidate, I took News Paper regularly. But now I read paper in internet! Sometimes I try to read the guardian, the new york times! How interesting!
Oneday, I thought, If I got a partner to learn english, I would able to improve my english knowledge! But now I got more than 10000 partner in E-COMMERCE! I got an elder brother, Razib Ahmed. Traffic Jam, Food adulteration, Crime etc are the daily routine in Dhaka. But as a capitall city it should be more safe and beautiful than we have seen. The area of Dhaka is increasing day by day. But the quality is not.
Government had divided Dhaka city into two parts for the purpose of it's development. But may be, we do not see any noticeable change! It is very interesting that the left side of Nagor Bhaban is BangaBazar, and Gulisthan is in the right side. At first, that's two area should be neat and cleaned by authorities! But unfortunately we have failed. No doubt that Gulisthan is one of the most unsafe place in Dhaka!

Everyday people are coming to dhaka city due to Urbanization. Pull factor and push factor are responsible for the urbanization process. I will not enter into theoretical analysis.
Dhaka is full with a lot of important architecture! Such as Dhaka University, Nagor Bhanan, Bango Bhaban, Lalbag kella etc. We should save it. Dhaka is also full with a lot office. No doubt that dhaka is the centre of trade and commerce! But Dhaka is already under pressure. We should transfer a lot of textile, office, garments etc outside of Dhaka. Otherwise, Dhaka will be completely stable!

When we show love and respect to others, it will come back to you by any means

Today I want to share some good experience with you all. we have a girl in our home who assist me in my household chores. She is nearly 22 age, thin and and very smart. She is married too. She just came a month ago but she became more comfortable with my babies and us. She enjoying her work and care my babies a lot.
We also do treat her as a family member, I taught my babies to call her as aunt so that she does not feel bad. I always teach my babies to respect other, especially to this people who are poor and helpless in any means.

Well, I am very happy to say that, before our shopping, I did her shopping first. I asked her choice and she told me whatever I like, I can buy for her so I tried my level best to shop for her according to my choice. When I was buying for her, I never gave a second thought that I m buying this for my maid rather I thought, I will buy for her best as its her first festival with us. After seeing her gifts, she was overwhelmed and kept telling that Apu these are so beautiful, no one never do this for me, you are such an angel for me. This sentence made my day, really. All my hard work got a value in every means. I felt so relieved and peace.
And the best part is a day after of her shopping, she was giving me Tk.500 and telling please apu buy something for my two babies as I cant go outside.
I was totally surprised to see the love in her eyes for my babies. I gave back her money to her and told that I accept the gift already from you as you are taking good care of my babies and if you really want to give anything then please just pray for us...
So this was my best experience so far in life that when we show love and respect to others, it will come back to you by any means. We should keep doing good for the others without any expectations, I am sure Allah will return you this favor with lots of His mercy...

It was on 13 July 2014 at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and everybody waiting for a fantastic final match. Yes it was 2014 FIFA World Cup final and the match was Germany vs Argentina.
Both the teams were equally strong. Both the teams played hard but there there was no goal in the first half. After the beginning of the second half of the match the players of both teams trying to make a goal but they failed.
Then the extra time started and almost at the end Germany made a goal. There was no way for Argentina to come back the match. For this reason their dream was broken and they lost the world cup.
