Rabindra Kachharibari House is another tourist place in Sirajganj District. Kachharibai located in Shajadpur sub district, Sirajganj District. It’s Historical place because Rabindranath Tagore was the famed poet and philosopher. He created many literary works when he was living in this mansion.
In 1840 his grandfather purchased the estate. Rabindranath some time visit this landlord’s area.
Now a days the building converted into a museum and a memorial in his
name. Many memorabilia items are display in the museum such as shoes,
khadam(wooden sandals), piano, harmonium, dishes, tubs, hookahs, seals,
water filter, bedstead, sofa, spectacles, palanquin, vessels and also
some artefacts displayed.
Each year 6th to 8th May (As Bangali
year 25 Boishakh) locals and officials celebrate Tagore’s birthday. On
three days they arrange a big Exhibition.
